Fabio Capello, Real Madrid Manager Says Beckham Improving

November 8, 2006

david-beckham-balls.jpgReal Madrid manager Fabio Capello says David Beckham’s form is improving again and he hopes to keep the former England captain.

Capello seems to think Beckham’s lack of form is due to his England woes, telling Sky TV, “he has had bad times after being left out of England’s national team. Those are moments which produce psychological difficulties.”

Beckham’s contract expires at the end of this season.

David Beckham Not Yet Signed

November 8, 2006

david-beckham-balls.jpgAs expected, David Beckham is now hesitant to sign a new contract at Real Madrid.

After weeks of Real president Ramon Caulderon saying the deal would be done shortly, it now appears that a deal is not imminent after all.

Beckham has struggled for playing time as Madrid have played well with new winger Jose Antonio Reyes.

Reyes has added some much-needed speed to the Bernabeu outfit, as has Robinho.

The United States league MLS has shown interest in the former England captain, as have several English Premier League teams, most recently being Tottenham.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal Manager Against Quotas

November 3, 2006

A new plan being supported by FIFA would force club teams to have at least six players eligible to play for the club’s national association.

The Gunners’ boss amusingly argued, “What can you say to a guy who pays money to watch your team? ‘This player’s first touch is not good, yes, we know, but he is English. What can I do?'”
