Weekend Fixtures 16.09.06 17.09.06

September 15, 2006

Featured Matches for the Weekend 16.09.06 and 17.09.06

The English Premier League lights up this weekend as the big four showdown in London and Manchester on Sunday. Even the secondary matches look pretty good, although most people outside the UK won’t have access due to the big names.

La Liga has last year’s Champions League Semi-finalists, Villarreal taking on Deportivo on Saturday, and a couple on Sunday that look good, particularly Valencia v Getafe.

Saturday’s best bet might be in Serie A, with Inter Milan v Sampdoria. A good chance to see if Inter can bounce back from their Champions League slip in midweek.

And in Argentina, Boca will be looking to keep up their incredible winning streak, and Independiente meet San Lorenzo in a battle of position 2 versus 4. River will look to keep up versus Gimnasia Jujuy.

A great weekend for football!

Deportivo La Coruna v Villarreal

Inter Milan v Sampdoria

Racing de Santander v Barcelona
