Copa America 2007 Venezuela

Mexico and the United States have accepted invitations from CONMEBOL to participate at next summer’s Copa America 2007 in Venezuela.

Mexico is a regular participant in the tournament. The United States has not participated in the event since 1995.

The tournament is scheduled to be held between June 26 and July 15, 2007.

Brazil won the 2004 Copa America in Peru, defeating Argentina 4 – 2 on penalties after a 2 – 2 draw.

David Beckham: “I am not going anywhere.”

David Beckham says he will not leave Real Madrid in January, even if no contract is in place.

The former England captain is no longer a starter at the Spanish club and he has been linked with moves back to the Premiership and MLS in the United States.
