The English Football Association will not be punishing Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe for his “comical nibble” on West Ham’s Javier Mascherano’s arm.
The two tangled in Sunday’s first half Spurs 1 – 0 win. Both were booked and the FA claims FIFA regulations prevent further action.
Defoe feels the incident is being overblown stating, “I reacted in a bit of a mischievous way.”
