FIFA President Sepp Blatter has proposed ending World Cup Final shoot-outs with replays, or golden goals, with players removed for more space.
The impracticality of replays has seen them relegated to a novelty, and the idea of each side playing with less players to create scoring chances seems difficult to imagine.
Nonetheless, Blatter said these ideas will be on the table when discussing the rules for the 2010 World Cup.
